Aangeboden wordt een messing Nordenfelt huls uit januari 1893. De 5,7 cm Maxim-Nordenfelt was een kanon ontwikkeld in de jaren 1880 in Groot-Brittannië. Het werd gekocht door België voor de forten rond Luik en Namen. Het werd in licentie geproduceerd door de Belgische firma Cockerill. Het zag actie tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog en werd gebruikt door het Belgische en Duitse leger. Leuke antieke huls in een goede conditie.
Offered is a brass Nordenfelt shell from January 1893. The 5.7cm Maxim-Nordenfelt was a gun developed in the 1880s in Great Britain. It was purchased by Belgium for the forts around Liège and Namur. It was produced under license by the Belgian company Cockerill. It saw action during World War I and was used by the Belgian and German armies. A nice antique shell in good condition.
